I had two wooden blocks laying around the house that I stacked on top of each other. However, you can use anything you think will work. We used Apple Barrel's bright starter set of acrylic paint. It came with 6, 2oz bottles. It seemed to be the perfect amount for this project and was under $5.00. This was also a great way to control the amount of paint she was allowed to squeeze out. RL
