Jewel art

What fun a child can have by
gluing things to a piece of paper.
Great project for fine motor skills.

Playtime

The kids were on the back porch playing train.

Personal Day

I will not be taking off Friday August 17th.

Jelly Fish Facts

Today we were finishing up our Jelly Fish.
We found out a little about them.

Jelly fish have been around since before dinosaurs.
They are made up 95% water.  It surrounds them.  If you were to remove the water, the jellyfish would collapse and die.
They can be found in cold and warm parts of the ocean and at the coastline.
Jellyfish sting with their tentacles to
paralyze (can't move) their prey before they eat them.  Their mouth is located on the underside of their bell shaped bodies.
Jellyfish have no brain, no blood
and no nervous system.
Just a few tidbits I thought you might enjoy.  It will also give you something to talk to your kids about on the way home.

We are going to hang the
finished Jellyfish in our playroom.
They will go great with our ocean.

I found this website for teaching alphabet.  I will be purchasing it with the money from supply fees.
This will be great for circle time.  Below is the link for these products.

Play Time

Bergen is being a Firefighter and
wanted her picture taken.

More Paper Mache

The kids played in the pool and we worked some more on the paper mache jelly fish.  Hopefully we can paint and decorate them next week.
