"Itty-Bitty Bookworm"
We read the book Dandelion by Don Freeman. In the book Dandelion is invited to a tea party. They had tea and taffy. Ask your children to tell you about the story.
Dramatic Play - I purchased a new tea Party Set and we are going to invite the kids to have a tea party. We had tea and a chocolate cookie at our tea party. Bergen said "This is the best tea party I have ever had". Each child poured their own tea and put sugar in it. We talked about what we do and how we act at a tea party. "What did Dandelion and his friends do at their tea party"? They had a good time.
We will also be talking about what it is like to dress up in fancy clothes.
Science and Discovery - We are making Gloop and Ice
sculptures.
Cooking - We will be making Lucky Charm cupcakes.
Art - Leprechaun Face, free drawing and painting
For art today we made a lion. They each helped me curl the paper for the lion's hair.
Each child was given markers or pencils, large googly eyes, a glue stick and lion hair. They could make their lion any way they wanted.
Caroline said her lion did not need hair. It was like the girl lion in Lion King.
"Susu don't forget to take my picture!
