Lunch

I made Octopus hot dogs, mashed 

potatoes, peas and olives. 

 Boy the kids loved the homemade mashed potatoes.
We had many happy plates today.

Counting with beads and pipe cleaners

 Each pipe cleaner has a number between 1 and 20.

They put that many beads on the pipe cleaner.

It is great for number recognition and counting.

It also works as a great fine motor skill.

Blow Paint Monsters & Bubble Wrap Ocean

We used straws and blew our paint to make monsters.

We drew on mouths and added google eyes.

Today we continued O for Ocean.

We used bubble wrap with paint on it

to make the ocean.

When the paint dries we are going to add sea life.

Tomorrow we are going to do an Octopus

and use cotton balls and paint to decorate it.

Personal Time off

I am so excited!!

Next Wednesday at 5:00 

Sheila and I will be leaving for Branson.

We will be spending time with friends, 

learning new things and of course

SCRAPBOOKING.

Please have your child picked up by 5:00.

We are trying to get on the road ASAP.

I will see everyone on Monday morning.

We will also be having a new little girl joining up on Monday.

We are learning about the letter Oo

Yesterday we talked about the letter Oo for Owl and Octopus. 

 I made each child puppets for them to take home and enjoy.

Last week we learned about Ii.

If you could review last weeks letter that would be great!

We are reviewing the letters here at school also.

They should have Ii puppets also.

Goggles

The book of the week is Goggles.

During this week we will discuss what

to do if you are being bullied, different

types of eyewear, finding special

treasures, the “short o” sound, and

review numbers  “1- 10”.  We are going to

create our own goggles, design a hideout,

make chalk drawings,

and paint portraits of

 our best friends.

“Grandma’s Glasses”

Here are Grandma’s glasses.

(Make little circle-motions around your eyes)

Here is Grandma’s hat.

(Pretend to put a hat on your head.)

This is the way she holds her hands,

and sits like that.

(Fold your hands

and place them in your lap.)

Some bunny loves you

 We have been reading a book about

a little girl that get s a hat.  It was plain.

The birds brought flowers to make it pretty.

The kids decorated their hat today.
