Learning the Alphabet
Go on a letter Hunt
A simple bread dough is a perfect medium for children to explore with. It’s easy to make using ingredients you can keep in your storecupboard and I find children always take great pleasure in using ‘real grown-up’ materials. There are lots of ways you can use a bread dough to let your children play with counting, measuring, pouring, cutting.

Learn the letters of the alphabet and
have fun with play dough too.

Rolling pin fun
This would be great for paint or to use in play dough.
Alphabet dominos
This looks like a fun game to play at home with the kids.

Counting with beads and pipe cleaners
Each pipe cleaner has a number between 1 and 20.
They put that many beads on the pipe cleaner.
It is great for number recognition and counting.
It also works as a great fine motor skill.
Blow Paint Monsters & Bubble Wrap Ocean
We used straws and blew our paint to make monsters.
Today we continued O for Ocean.
We used bubble wrap with paint on it
to make the ocean.
When the paint dries we are going to add sea life.
Tomorrow we are going to do an Octopus
and use cotton balls and paint to decorate it.
